About Mark Lorenzen
Early Life and Education
Born and raised in Edna, Texas, Mark Lorenzen has been a lifelong resident of the great state of Texas. Growing up in a family of ranchers, Mark developed a deep appreciation for hard work and community values. He attended Texas A&M University for his undergraduate studies and later graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where he pursued his passion for pediatrics.
Medical Career and Community Involvement
As a pediatrician in Waco since 1980, Mark has dedicated his life to caring for children and families, emphasizing preventive care and education. His medical career has been marked by his commitment to community health and his advocacy for affordable and accessible healthcare for all.
Family Life
Mark is a proud father of six and a doting grandfather to sixteen grandchildren. He credits his family, especially his wife Regina, as his greatest support and inspiration. His family values are at the heart of his campaign and policy initiatives.
Political Vision and Values
Concerned about the direction of national politics and the challenges facing his district, Mark decided to run for Congress. He is driven by values of integrity, equality, and justice. His campaign focuses on healthcare reform, education, economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social justice.
